I'm back...Well Kinda
Sorry everyone. I've been on a blogging hiatus. Not by choice. I've had an upper respiratory infection that doesn't seem to wanna go away. I think I'm finally on the mend. Slowly but surely. I haven't been excising because I'm having trouble breathing due to the infection. I am still eating healthy though. As soon as I get to feeling better I'll start posting again. Thanks everyone! You guys are the best.

Day 3
Day 3
As predicted I've felt pretty crappy today. I wished I realized when I was younger the impact of food and how it makes you feel. Today I was a good girl. Here's what I ate today:
Breakfast-left over butternut squash and bean soup with rice
Snack-an orange
Lunch-GF pancakes! (see note below)
Snack-apple
Dinner-pork chops with squash and zuchini
I changed my exercise routine too. I did some yoga as well some line dancing. I really enjoy line dancing but I would never do it out in public. It's nice to have fun while your exercising though. I think I laughed as much as I exercised though. :)
I can't believe the year is half over! Where has it gone!
The pancakes I made today were using Bisquick's Gluten Free Mix. Growing up my mom used Bisquick for nearly everything. I was so excited to see they had come out with a Gluten Free mix.I love pancakes! The pancakes were heavenly! I can wait to get back to baking again! :)

Day 2
Day 2
Today was not a good day. I have been a bad bad girl. I know I am going to pay for it tomorrow. First of all, I didn't exercise. I ate horrible stuff. A bag of chips and gummy fruit for lunch. Come on now! I know better. I am going to feel awful tomorrow from not eating right, not drinking enough water and not exercising. I was tired from not sleeping good last night. I was worried about something. A friend of mine said "Worrying is the same thing as banging your head against the wall. It only feels good when you stop."
She couldn't be more right. I was worried about some test results. It turned out that they were for someone else! How many times do we worry instead of trusting God to take care of us. I know I am one of the worst. God has proven Himself to be faithful so many times yet I am still a worry wart.I know that part of the problem also isn't that I havent' been spending time in the Word. God's word is powerful! I belive that being healthy includes your thoughts. I'm going to spend more time thinking about what I am thinking about and think on things above.
Tomarrow I am going to get back with the program!
Failure is only a fact when you give up. Everyone gets knocked down, the question is: Will you get back up?

Day 1
Day 1
Today I didn't do so great on eating healthy. I was being lazy. Here's what I ate today:
Breakfast-a bowl of Fruity Pebbles with Almond Milk, a cup of grapes
Lunch-Grilled Chicken breast some apple slices
Afternoon snack- pop corn
Dinner-Chicken fried steak (yes it's GF), baked potatoes, carrots, and a piece of gluten free brownie.
Exercise: Yep I exercised. I figured after taking the weekend off that I needed to get back on track. I did the Mari Windsor's Lower Body Cardio Pilates workout. My legs feel so good! I thought the Navy Seal crunches were gonna kick my butt though. No pain no gain right?
Water-I've drank like 6 glasses so far. I know I'll get my eight in before bed.
I didn't think to weigh and measure today. I plan on posting them tomorrow.
I saw my friend Doe yesterday. She said she noticed that I had lost weight. It always nice when notices your trying to be healthier. I hadn't seen her in a while. I wonder why people you haven't seen in awhile notice

Howdy
Howdy, My name is Carol and this is my blog. The reason for this blog is to document/discuss my life style changes. Now I don't mean anything bad by life style changes. I simply mean I am changing my life for the better. No diets. I think of a diet as something temporary. A lifestyle change is permanent. I will mainly be addressing the health changes but I know I can improve other areas of my life as well. I have talked to several bloggers and they have said that documenting their struggles and desires for a better, healthier life have helped them tremendously. It so much more fun to be on a journey with friends. Won't your travel along with me?
